Tootlestud is home to myself (Claire), my partner Matt, Harry our 7 year old bearded collie who is a true gentleman and the baby of the family is Texas our bearded collie puppy!
We have been breeding rabbits for about 3 years now and have had a variety of breeds but we have always stuck to mini lops. We now also have continental giants, english lops and french lops.
We have met many people through breeding rabbits and have made some very good friends - special thanks to Mary of Jacobelle Stud, Kerri Castle, Sarah of Terrighill Stud, Olivia at Sweetcherry Stud and to everyone else who has helped us in the past ... there are too many to mention!
Myself and Matt spend a lot of time ensuring the rabbits are well looked after and cared for. The hutches are kept clean and our rabbits are fed a balanced diet of Allen and Page pellets mixed with Readi-Grass, handfuls of fresh hay every day and vegetables. The rabbits are also allowed to exercise in the garden which is secured and we also have runs so we can put several rabbits out at the same time.
We have plans for each breed and particular colours that we are working on. If you are looking for a particular colour/breed you can be put on our waiting list - click here to email us claire@tootlestud.com
Our priority is to breed healthy kits with excellent temperament!
